DAY 8 (February 8, 2024)

On Day 8, we started a fresh round of training after wrapping up our digital literacy program the day before. Our day began with pre-recorded seminars from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on the basics of programming. The seminars covered essential topics like Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs), making flowcharts, and pseudocodes. It was like a quick review of things we learned back in our first year as Information Technology students. After the first video, our instructor, Engr. Antonio Bonganay, handed out pen-and-paper coding evaluation exercises. These challenges tested our logic and critical thinking, requiring us to solve problems and predict code outputs without any help from programming apps or the internet. We had the morning until afternoon to work on these exercises. Engr. Bonganay also played more pre-recorded lectures to teach us extra skills and he also checked our progress in the Cisco class about C++ that we enrolled in from his monitoring panel if we had progress already.
